How to care for your clothes?

At Fabby Fables, we are conscious of the material and fabrics we use to make clothes for little ones.

We make high quality clothes embellished with embroidery, laces and other accessories influenced by story magic. Clothes which have any accessories or embroidery on them need to be washed differently than those which do not have embroidery or additional accessories.

Here’s how you can take care of your little ones clothes so that they can last longer without any impact on the fabric, shape or accessories:

  • Washing clothes with embroidery, laces and other accessories

    - Hand wash

    - Simply soak the fabric in water with mild detergent for 10-15 minutes.

    - In case your child’s favourite chocolate leaves a mark on the dress or t-shirt, spray a mild stain remover on the stain. Keep it for 5-10 minutes as instructed on the stain remover.

    - Do not wring the cloth. Wrap it in a towel and press to remove excess water

  • Washing clothes without embroidery or accessories

    - Machine wash

    - Our clothes do not bleed colour and can be washed with other clothes.

    - Use the gentle wash feature on your machine for all your children’s clothes to ensure that it is not damaged in the machine.

  • Put 'em out to dry!

Hang dry in line. Sun drying is good for all clothes, especially those of children, because:

    - It is environmentally friendly.

    - It brings freshness by removing stains and odour.

    - It has natural disinfecting and bleaching properties.

    - It is gentler than tumble drying.

  • Ironing clothes with embroidery and other accessories

Turn your embroidered clothes inside out while drying at a mild temperature. Using a steam iron is a faster way to say goodbye to wrinkles.

  • Ironing clothes without embroidery

Iron normally at a mild temperature. Steam iron helps do away with wrinkles faster.

  • Don't just tuck away!

    - Keep clothes neatly folded in a cupboard.

    - Consider keeping the cupboard doors open every once in a while to let air circulation.

    - Make sure your children wear their clothes often.

    - If a piece of cloth has not been used in a while, put it out to dry in the sun for an hour or so before using again.
